. . .then you were sure to find me on old Cape Cod at Eight Cousins Books in Falmouth, MA, on 7/16! Such a “quaint little village in the square!” I was delighted to share the story of the Princess and the Cafe on the Moat with so many wonderful families. Such a cozy bookshop, staffed by an extraordinary team of booksellers. Thanks for a delightful day!

Storytime was lots of fun with these characters! Even the grownups got in on the act. Thanks for hosting me in your beautiful space, Aesop’s Fable Books! Holliston, Mass. is lucky to have such a wonderful new bookstore downtown.

Psyched for storytime at Aesop’s Fable, a beautiful new bookstore in lovely downtown Holliston, MA. I’m bringing hats and props for a royally fun time. Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 1, at 10:30 am and come on by! bit.ly/aesop-storytime

Look what I found while stocking up on children’s books at the Strand Bookstore in New York City! This place really does have miles and miles of books, including The Princess and the Cafe on the Moat! Come on down!

Storytime was super-fun at Blue Bunny Books in Dedham, MA. You make a great Wandering Minstrel, Peter Reynolds! Thank you! Hat’s off to the team for warmly welcoming The Princess and the Cafe on the Moat. Blue Bunny owner Peter Reynolds is the award-winning author/illustrator of many wonderful books including, The Word Collector, Happy Dreamer, and The Dot.

Serendipity! I happened to visit my nearby B&N today (Bellingham, MA) and Evan Chelman, third-grade teacher extraordinaire from Franklin’s Jefferson Elementary, was reading my book to kids for a fundraiser! What a delightful surprise! Thanks!

It’s always a pleasure to stop in and visit the cheery team at An Unlikely Story in Plainville, MA. And it’s especially true when store manager Leo Landry calls with an invite to come on down and sign the new copies of The Princess and the Cafe on the Moat that just arrived from Sleeping Bear Press!

All the seats were filled at An Unlikely Story Bookstore and Cafe (Plainville, MA) for an exuberant reading of The Princess and the Cafe on the Moat. There was magic in the air when these youngsters joined me on stage for the climax. It truly was a “busy, joy-filled place,” just like in the story. What a happily ever after moment! A big thank you to everyone who came — your support and enthusiasm were amazing! And thanks to Sleeping Bear Press and An Unlikely Story for the planning and hosting!

It was charming to make n
